Upstage Productions is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving Broward County through its diverse programs: Our Mainstage Productions, Cabaret Series, Education, and New Play Development. Through these programs, Upstage speaks to wide variety of community needs and artistic dreams.
Upstage was founded by artists and is led by artists−with actors, designers and directors holding key leadership positions. We are fervent in our belief that theatre should not be a privilege for the few, but should benefit everyone.
Over the past four decades, Founder & Producer, Janice Hamilton and Artistic Director, DK Kondelik, have been bringing contemporary theatre to the community, as actresses and directors and teachers, giving voice to new playwrights, developing new works, and educating children and adults in the power of theatre.
Our donors share in our belief that by investing in the art, we will be able to create transformational experiences that extend beyond the stage. Whether making an individual donation, underwriting one of our shows, providing a scholarship to a young student in our education program, or securing our future through a gift to our capital or endowment campaigns, Upstage Production donors are an essential part of our artistic team.
